About me...

I have had animals all of my life including cats, dogs, horses, mice, hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, bearded dragon, birds and even rats. I love all animals but I especially love cats!

When my husband and I moved to Wales from the USA in 2002 I knew I wanted a siamese cat. In 2006 my husband bought me my first siamese cat on the active register. I thought that I would breed one litter of kittens and that would be it.... boy was I wrong! I fell in love with having kittens in the house. I took my siamese girl Kameko (who now lives a life of luxury with her daughter and grand daughter in Carmarthenshire with Pauline and her family) to be mated, and the breeder had a tonkinese kitten there who I fell in love with instantly and brought her home with me. Her name is Kaiya. Kaiya introduced me to the world of showing and was very successful on the show bench being the first and only UK tonkinese to win Quadruple Grand Champion with TICA. I bred these two breeds for many years and produced many kittens who live far and wide. I have some living in the USA, Canada, Scotland and even Ireland.  I was then introduced to the Peterbald breed in 2012 and was smitten right from my first sighting.

Although I loved the tonkinese breed, the UK tonkinese have begun to look quite siamesey which was not a look that I wanted in the breed. I already breed siamese and orientals and did not want the tonkinese to start resembling these two breeds. The tonkinese should look different. This is my opinion and only my opinion. I still love the tonkinese personality and still have my beloved tonkinese stud boy Hunter. I decided to stop breeding tonkinese and found special homes for all of my girls and was lucky enough to be allowed to import my first Peterbald girl Nadia from Lithuania. This was shortly followed by importing my lovely boy Bentley and my oriental girl Sheridan from the same breeder in Lithuania. I then imported Amelija from a different breeder in Lithuania who is the love of my life. She is just so special and a great mum. I have a lovely new girl who I have just imported from Russia in October from a breeder there. I have to say thank you to the Lithuanian and Russian breeders for being able to speak English and communicate with me so well! and trusting me with their kittens.

I live in the beautiful Welsh Valleys with my husband, and 2 grown up children, our 3 dogs and 5 cats. I work full time and lead a busy life with my children both having different hobbies and interests and my daughter now in her second year of university in Bath.

I am registered with GCCF, TICA and Fife and show my cats with all three registeries under the prefix of Kamkai. Hopefully I havent bored you too much!
